I got a new crock pot for my birthday from my Bunny. I am looking for new crock pot recipes that real people actually use. This new one can be left on all day and will just turn to warm when it is done. We live to far away from work to use the kind that doesn't do this. I like recipes that are not to complicated and don't have ingredients that I have never heard of.

My favorite is my Brunswick stew recipe. Sooooo easy and I always make it in the crock pot. I usually double the recipe so we'll have leftovers because hubs will eat on it for several days!
Brunswick stew
2 chicken breasts cooked and shredded or chopped OR 2 cans chicken (I always use cans)
1 small can tomato sauce
BBQ Sauce
2 cans creamed style corn
1 can whole kernel corn (do not drain)
Salt & pepper
Tobasco to taste
Yeah! I already have all that and I read Cristina's post. Sounds like I will be making that VERY soon!
One of my favorites is what my friends and I call Taco Soup. There are several versions of it on allrecipes.com, so feel free to search it.
1 pkg. ranch dressing powder mix
1 pkg. taco seasoning (your choice on the heat)
2 cans kidney beans
2 cans black beans
1 or 2 cans corn- I use sweet yellow corn, but you could use mexican spiced corn for more heat.
1 can rotel-again, your choice on heat.
1 can hominy-I use white for a variation in color
1/2 lb to 1 lb of browned ground beef
1 small can tomato sauce
After you've browned the beef (or turkey), just throw it all in the crockpot and walk away. Don't drain the cans b/c that's what makes the liquid. You can leave it in the crockpot for hours and it'll be yummy, or you could put it in a stock pot on the stove for 20 minutes. I prefer the crock pot. And when you serve it, have some sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, and fritos on hand! That makes a great topping!
It makes an extremely good cheese dip!!! I do know that! I'm so glad we all got together tonight. You're hair makes me want long hair so bad!
